Direct Capital Corporation
Senior Technical Services Specialist
After a brief internship in the IT department at Direct Capital I was offered a full time position, eventually moving to a senior position on the team. A few years later, I was presented with an opportunity to take my software development skills to the next level by moving from the IT department to the Software Engineering department at Direct Capital. Testimonials
I’ve had the opportunity to work with some pretty awesome people over the years and every one of them has helped shape me into the person I am today. Below you’ll find some of the people I’ve worked with in the past who were kind enough to speak about my work ethics and accomplishments.

Jason Gilbert
Technical Services Manager
“Mark’s willingness to take on any project, regardless of the challenge, and his ability to execute thereon made him a star player on our team. His eagerness to improve himself, the department, and the company as a whole, I have rarely if ever seen matched in my decade of experience. He brings vision and positive energy to any task, big or small, always looking ahead for opportunities to innovate or drive efficiency. He consistently accounts for future growth or change, allowing for flexibility and unexpected eventualities when developing solutions. Mark is truly an indispensable asset, and I consider myself beyond lucky to have been his manager.”

David Levitt
Senior Software Engineer
“Mark is one of those extremely rare developers who has an incredible wealth of knowledge yet super humble about it. In the last year I have learned more from him than I have from anyone but he did it in such a way that I felt as though I was discovering all on my own. Although his passion is front-end he has an acute knowledge of back-end development and is able to switch between each discipline without skipping a beat. From mentoring, to architecture/design, to down and dirty coding this kid can seemingly do it all and has. It was an absolute joy working with Mark and I hope someday to do so again.”

Brent Goldstein
VP Software Engineering
“Mark worked on my team, operating as a full-stack developer, and built some of the best-damn software I’ve had the pleasure of delivering in my career. He really knows the technical details needed to build the right solution, but also knows how to apply this to build a well-architected, quality product. He’s a consummate learner and mentor, keeping up-to-date on the latest software trends, and applying them to advance his and the team’s knowledge. His breadth is also quite striking, so when I stay full-stack I mean from the edge of the web client, including UX design, all the way to detailed DB design and implementation. Mark is driven, excels under pressure, and is a genuinely nice guy to work with, always.”
